You can be assured your donation goes directly to our local community.

More than 70 community organisations and 120 community capacity building projects have been supported since 2004.

Current projects

  • Mt Tumbarumba Cycle and Walking Tracks

    CFTR created a special purpose account to raise tax deductible funds to assist in the purchase of the land on Mt Tumbarumba for the project.

  • Tumut says No to Domestic Violence

    CFTR is partnering with the local community in delivering information and awareness about domestic violence.

  • The Resilience Project

    Initially offered to all schools and preschools in the Snowy Valleys in partnership with the MPHN and has subsequently been funded by CFTR for two years. All but one school in the region has taken part in the program.

  • FRRR back to School Vouchers

    CFTR has facilitated over a number of years $50 back to school vouchers across the Snowy Valleys for school students of all ages to help with the essential items for school attendance.

The Foundation for Tumut Region has contributed over $450,000 to support local community strengthening projects and families in need.

Past projects

  • Transporting food

    CFTR funded cooler/heater bags for Tumbarumba Public school to transport prepared lunches from Tumbarumba High School.

  • Kids cooking gardening

    CFTR funded the materials for the Stephania Alexander garden and cooking program for All Saints school Tumbarumba.

  • RFS mobile light tower

    Partnered with Rural Fire Serve association with the purchase of a mobile light tower to be used at community events and stage areas during disasters.

  • Kapooka Army Band support local community fund

    A well-received performance by the highly accomplished Kapooka Army Band in Tumut as a fundraising activity for the Jenni Crain Memorial Bursary.

  • VISY small grants program

    Run over three years, an annual grant program that delivered small grants to a wide range of local community groups to support the work being done by grass roots organisations for both immediate and long term benefit.
